Returns & value-added

THE DETAILS
BEYOND DISPATCH.

Branded packing, kitting, labels and returns. Turn your product instructions into a practical workflow.

Returns & value-added

Give returned products
a clear next step.

Receiving a return, checking its condition and returning it to saleable stock are separate decisions.

CSG can receive and assess returned goods against your instructions, then follow the agreed action. Define what can be restocked, what needs review and who authorises further handling.

Photos, repackaging or relabelling may be useful for some products. The service plan should identify these steps so they are requested and priced deliberately.

  • Receive & identify

Record the returned product and available order or return reference.

  • Inspect & report

Assess the condition criteria you specify and escalate exceptions.

  • Follow the agreed action

Restock eligible products or carry out authorised repacking, labelling or other handling.

Value-added services

Put your instructions
into the parcel.

Materials, assembly time, quantities and quality checks all affect the work. Share an example of the finished result you need.

Branded packing

Discuss boxes, satchels, inserts and presentation instructions, including how materials are supplied, stored and replenished.

Kitting & bundles

Define each kit’s components, quantities, assembly sequence, labelling and stock treatment before production.

Labelling & rework

Specify the label content, placement and the handling needed to cover or remove an existing label.

Checks & additional handling

Scope dimension and weight checks, inspection, photos and additional labour against the task required.

Separate the service
from the postage.

Return transport, return receipt and restocking can have different scopes. Where a return-label service includes postage, the same postage should not be added again to a freight budget.

Use the planner to select only the stages you expect to need. Work with unresolved conditions stays visible for a tailored quote.

Build your service plan
Can every returned item go back into stock?
No. Your product rules, condition criteria and authorisation determine the next action. Products needing further assessment should remain separate from saleable stock.
Is custom packaging included in a standard pick fee?
Packaging materials, repacking, assembly and other handling need to be scoped in the quote. The packaging specification should describe the completed parcel.
Can you support regulated or specialist goods?
Describe the product and all special requirements before sending stock. Acceptance, facilities, documentation and any specialist controls require confirmation.
